Dr. David T. Jones – MB, ChB, DRCOG
Dr. Jones, originally from a mining village in the Rhymney Valley, qualified in Liverpool Medical School in 1978. He has postgraduate experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics and Casualty. He joined the practice in 1983.
Dr. Katharine J. Gordon – MRCGP, DRCOG
Dr. Gordon qualified at Bristol University in 1980. She has gained postgraduate experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Casualty, Geriatrics and Paediatrics. She is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. She joined the practice in 1992.
Dr. Bethan L. Howells – MB, BCh
Dr. Howells is originally from Pembrokeshire and is a Welsh speaker. She has postgraduate experience in General Medicine, Casualty, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Paediatrics. She qualified from Cardiff Medical School in 2001 and joined the practice in 2005.
Dr. Darren Chant – MB, BCh
Dr Chant is originally from Cardiff. His postgraduate experience includes Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Accident and Emergency Medicine and Paediatrics. He qualified from Cardiff Medical School in 1995.
Dr Asif Talpur – MBBS
Dr Talpur qualified at Dow Medical College in 2004. His postgraduate experience includes Emergency medicine, Geriatrics, Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Dr Talpur joined the practice in 2014.

Her job is to manage all aspects of running the practice and deal with any problems that arise on a day to day basis.

Our practice nursing team are available for dressings, immunisations, removal of stitches, etc. They work to appointment only. We also employ 2 healthcare assistants to undertake phlebotomy, check blood pressure, etc. and assist with clinics.
Our receptionists and administration staff are here to help you. Please try to give them all the information they require.
It is a legal requirement that confidentiality of patient records is maintained by all staff.
Our district nurses provide nursing care to patients in their own home. (01559 362996)

You may be asked to consult with a medical student. They are always closely supervised by one of the doctors, and you will also be seen by the supervising doctor as part of your consultation.
